If you're wondering why Nick Dunlap had a smile from ear to ear Wednesday, it's because the 12-year-old went low at Highland Park Golf Course, really low.

The golf phenom broke 60, shooting a jaw-dropping 11-under 59 to win a Birmingham Golf Association event by 13 strokes. His round included two eagles and seven birdies. He needed only 28 strokes on the front nine and just 31 on the back. You don't need a calculator to add those kind of scores up.

His 59 at Highland Park was five shots better than the ho-hum 64 he shot at Greystone Golf & Country Club on Monday. Yep, he won that BGA event too. Throw in his double eagle during his season-opening win at Shoal Creek last month and you have a golf trifecta that's only seen on the PGA Tour, which is exactly where Nick is headed if he keeps up his torrid pre-teen play on the links.

We should have seen this coming, especially when we saw a then 7-year-old Nick walking his putts to the hole like the Tiger Woods of yesteryear used to do.

Speegs said it: "Kid's got style." And a swing to boot.

Jealous, anyone?
