Solid Snake

Hi,

This is a portrait of Snake from Metal Gear.

Its made in ZBrush mainly and rendered with mental ray in Max.

I´m not happy at all because i have had some problems with hair and Fur and the SSS looks to waxy. But its enought for now. I prefer start a new project than waste more time with this.

That is damn awesome. The only thing I don’t like is the headband. It’s the one element that looks out of place/inconsistent with the rest of the work. Plus at that thickness you won’t get any facial details and even with artistic interpretation I think it’s a bad choice. Everything else is stunning though.

that is a wonderful render of snake, good stuff. Top row imo, and nice to see you stuck with the look of the latest MGS and still managed to give it your own style:+1: luv the textures on the octocamo…

I think the ear is too sss’d, I cant really see where this uber bright light is. But I think you really managed to get the overall MGS feel into the picture and great sculpting.

Funny thing is that he looks more like a badass villian in the sculpt shots where he dont have the hair :lol:
