Sphaeroderma rubidum (Graëlls, 1858)
A common leaf beetle, which will jump quickly when disturbed. Seperation from the very similar Sphaeroderma testaceum is difficult, but Sphaeroderma rubidum is more rounded in general appearance and slightly smaller. Like testaceum, it is often easy to find on the leaves of Thistles and Knapweeds.
