The series of half-size compact cameras by MMZ started with Chaika (1965-1967), the Chaika II (1967-1972) succeeded it with minor modifications: shape of the rewind knob and shutter-release button, but also a "removable" lens in 39mm screwmount. The Chaika 3 (1971-1973) is redesigned and includes a selenium meter. Finally Chaika 2M (1972-1974) is a Chaika 3 without meter.

With the arrival of compact digital cameras with interchangeable lenses, the Chaikas are plundered to resell the lens, which properly covers the APS-C with vignetting, and needs to be modified to get the focus at infinity, Chaika's not having the same back focus distance than LTM. I had the chance to "get this lens with its camera body!"
To rewind the film, pull the rewind button, which has the effect of disengaging the advance.
