TAMPA - A judge is expected to decide today whether former teacher and convicted sex offender Debra LaFave can have limited contact with children.

The former English teacher at Greco Middle School teacher is asking to be allowed around a limited number of children of her family and friends as long as she is supervised and the parents of each child agree.

Hillsborough Circuit Judge Wayne S. Timmerman is expected to listen to LaFave's arguments and rule today.

LaFave was placed on three years of house arrest, followed by seven years of probation after pleading guilty in November 2005 for having sex with a 14-year-old male student.

In January 2008, a judge determined LaFave had violated the terms of her house arrest by having private conversations with a 17-year-old female coworker. But the judge chose not to impose any punishment because he didn't find the violation was "willful."

Amy Northcutt - was arrested on June 2, 2008, along with her husband, Justin Northcutt, 27, a substitute teacher at the same school, for sending erotic text messages to a 16-year-old female student and attempting to arrange group sex with her.




Angela Comer - claimed she was forced at gunpoint by the boy to go to Mexico. She was indicted in January 2006 for illegal sex acts with a minor and returned to Kentucky. Charges included felony custodial interference, two counts of third-degree sodomy and four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor relating to sexual acts. On May 9, 2007, Comer pleaded guilty to one-count of third-degree sodomy, and was slated to serve 10 years in prison as part of a plea agreement.




Carrie McCandless - married to the principal, was charged in November 2006 with having had sexual contact with a 17-year-old male student during an overnight school camping trip.




Carrie Oconner - According to police, the abuse was first reported in March 2007 to a teacher and a probation officer, but they were reportedly reluctant to inform the superintendent because O'Conner is the superintendent's daughter.






Christine MacCullun - she is accused of having consensual sex over 300 times with the teen, beginning when he was 13. McCallum was a tutor for the alleged victim's younger brother.





Janelle Batkins - French teacher at Roseville High School in Roseville, Mich., was arrested in September 2007 and charged with two counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct for a relationship with a 17-year-old student that had begun the previous December and lasted until June. The former "teacher of the year" resigned her position.

Pam Turner - She was arrested in February 2005 for allegedly having a three-month sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy. She resigned her teaching position and was charged with 15 counts of sexual battery and 13 counts of statutory rape. Originally sentenced to 270 days in August 2005, she got in additional trouble in April 2006 for sending text messages, nude photos, and sex videos of herself to the same boy while using her father's cellphone. In July 2006, she was sentenced to serve eight years for violating her probation, and in January 2007, was given an additional two years for sending the photos.




Rachel Burkhart - she had an inappropriate relationship with an 18-year-old male student




Rebekah Todd - she was accused of performing oral sex on a 17-year-old boy. She had pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree assault and was expecting a sentence of 30 days in home detention.

I had one in 8th grade English who was about as hot as Debra Lefave, though probably 10-15 yrs. older. Rumor had it that she had been in Playboy many years earlier and there were other rumors too. But we were never able to confirm any of them. She used to sit on her teacher's desk with her feet on a smaller one, legs never crossed and always wearing a skirt. She drove the boys nuts. In many states the legal definition of sodomy is a crime against nature or the "order of nature"; i.e., anything other than copulation. Thus oral sex is sometimes brought under this definition. Originally sodomy was defined under English common law as anal sex but the definition has been expanded from a legal standpoint in some jurisdictions.

9th grade English teacher, 22 yrs old, fresh out of teachers college, (bleach) blond, with a tight curly perm, which was popular in the late 1970's. Tight bod with boobs too big for her...and she liked to wear turtleneck tight sweaters...We all lusted after her...mmmmmmmmm... Miss Peterson....

She helped with drama club, and some thought she was banging one of the older students that helped with back stage stuff (he was a 19 yr old senior...).
