The Montreal Biosphère is a museum dedicated to the environment. It was established in 1967. It stands at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saint Helen’s Island. More specifically it is located in the former pavilion of the United States for the 1967 World Fair. Buckminster Fuller was the architect of the geodesic dome, using steel and acrylic cells to form the enclosed structure. This gives the ability to control inner temperatures while looking sophisticated.
